All patients and visitors on our main campus must enter our hospital via Shapiro, Menino, or Moakley buildings, where they will be greeted by team members at a new centralized check-in desk before continuing to the hospital. The fundamental and authentic integration of historically and currently excluded individuals and/or groups (e.g., Black, Indigenous, people of color, women, transgender and gender non-binary individuals, and the intersection of structurally marginalized identities) into positions, processes, activities, and decision and policy making in a way that shares power, values input and engenders belonging. In terms of understanding inclusion, we must understand who is excluded.
